  • IZUN/MIZAN: A Film and Dialogue Series

New Film and Dialogue Series Launches in Twin Cities

New series "IZUN/MIZAN: A Film and Dialogue Series" will be launched in the Twin Cities (*"Balance" in Hebrew & Arabic) this February, focusing on films that explore complexity of Palestinian/Israeli conflict coupled with post-film dialogue that deepens community connections

Designed for interfaith communities as well as college campuses, IZUN/MIZAN will feature award-winning films that portray the complexity of the Israeli/Palestinian conundrum, followed by an in-depth, respectful dialogue guided by trained facilitators about the issues raised in the film and the conflict itself.

The series brings together a variety of organizations and academic departments and will be held initially within three different communities. Events are free of charge but donations will gladly be accepted at the door.

In cooperation with Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, The Islamic Center of Minnesota, Mount Zion Temple, and the Saint Paul Interfaith Network, Izun/Mizan presents:

Refreshments will be served at the above two events.

Sponsored by the University of Minnesota's Departments of History, German, Scandinavian and Dutch, Gender and Women's Studies and housed under the Center for Jewish Studies, Izun/Mizan will feature the two films listed above plus one other on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis at Nicholson Hall, Room #135 (216 Pillsbury Dr SE, Mpls, MN 55455)
